Angela Williams, RMT
Director

Angela graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2017. Her training and method for successful massage therapy has always centered on finding the root causes of pain, tension or discomfort and treating at the root source. In her career thus far, she has specifically enjoyed working with conditions such as MS and Parkinsons along with postural issues. She also has a special interest in visceral manipulation and working with digestive conditions. She has specialized training in hot and cold stone therapy, kinetic massage and prenatal massage.

Geoff Varughese, M.Ed
Director of Administration and Admissions

Geoff has been active in corporate and educational administration for more than 15 years. His focus is on Brand Management along with administration and marketing strategies that aim for growth and visibility. Having lived and studied in the Middle East, Europe, the Indian subcontinent, and speaking multiple languages, he believes in life-long learning and professional development.

Geoff holds a M.Ed in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan and an EMBA from the Stockholm University School of Business. He is also an Alumni of University of Calcutta from where he completed his Bachelor’s of Commerce.

Zachery Belak, B.Sc. (Hons), Ph.D.
Instructor

Born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Zach earned his B.Sc. in Anatomy and Cell Biology and his Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan. He has since led scientific research in biotech, specializing in antimicrobial coatings and plant-based pharmaceutical extractions.

In 2021, Zach founded Proxima Research and Development, where he serves as Principal Scientist, offering expertise in microbiology, biochemistry, and genetics across the food, agriculture, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Zach has also taught biotechnology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina. Passionate about science, sustainability, and education, he’s especially inspired by the potential of microorganisms and fermentation to drive environmental and economic progress.

Outside the lab, Zach enjoys time outdoors with his family, cooking, gardening, and raising animals on their hobby farm.

Chrystal Dubois, RMT
Instructor

Chrystal has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since graduating from McKay Career College in 2004. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in deep tissue work, myofascial cupping, and therapeutic treatments that support movement re-education and recovery from injury or illness.

Her approach integrates diverse health modalities, continued education, and insights gained through years of collaboration with other practitioners. In March 2024, Chrystal joined the teaching team at PIMT while continuing to run her successful full-time practice.

Passionate about how the body moves and heals, Chrystal is committed to hands-on, student-centered learning. She encourages critical thinking and supports each student’s growth as they build their skills and discover their own path in massage therapy.

Chane-Marie Groenewald, RMT
Instructor

Chane is a proud graduate of the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy and a valued member of its teaching team. With a deep passion for anatomy and a strong belief in the body’s natural ability to heal, she brings both expertise and empathy to her work.

In her massage practice, Chane focuses on chronic conditions and injury recovery, creating thoughtful, individualized treatment plans grounded in education and consistent care. As an instructor, she’s dedicated to supporting her students’ growth with encouragement, insight, and a genuine love for the profession.

Chane believes learning is a lifelong journey—and she’s committed to evolving alongside her students and clients every step of the way.

Joanna Kerluke, RMT
Instructor

Joanna is a RMT with Natural Heath Practitioners of Canada. She has been practicing upon graduating from McKay Massage and Hydrotherapy in Dec 2007 in Saskatoon. Joanna travelled over seas to New Zealand in June 2009 and worked in a busy wellness clinic in Queenstown. She met and worked with therapists from all over the globe gaining more experience with different cultures of massage therapy. She then moved out to Kelowna and received her Reiki and Energy Work and Hot Stone Therapy. While her focus is deep tissue therapy, she is trained in several modalities, including Shiatsu Therapy, Thai Foot and Hand Reflexology Massage, and RAPID Neurofascial Reset. She also has knowledge in Aromatherapy using different oils to aid in different treatments. Joanna began her teaching career in 2021 at Professional Institute of Massage Therapy looking for a challenge and something new and to get her knowledge and experiences out to those inspiring new therapists coming into the world.

Kasandra Muyres, RMT
Instructor

Kasandra graduated from The Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2016. Her primary focus is on theory based classes and root cause functional health. She has a passion for natural health and healing, nervous system regulation and nutrition. In her massage practice, she greatly enjoyed helping clients who struggled with headaches and chronic neck issues. Benjamin Rempel, RMT
Instructor

Benjamin graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy in 2022 and brings a lifelong passion for health and fitness to his practice. He specializes in deep tissue work, and has a particular strength in treating tension headaches and postural dysfunctions.

Certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and trained in Neuromuscular Therapy, Benjamin is committed to ongoing learning and growth within the massage therapy field. He’s dedicated to helping clients move better, feel better, and live pain-free.

Rhiannon Stamnes-Sherven, RMT
Instructor

Rhiannon graduated from Axiom Career College in 2022 and now runs her own thriving massage therapy practice. She is passionate about helping clients stay active in their careers by addressing chronic pain and repetitive strain injuries through a personalized, intuitive approach.

Her treatments often incorporate cupping, IASTM, and a deep focus on the body-mind connection. Rhiannon also has a special interest in working with TMJ disorders and pre/postnatal care, always tailoring her techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
